The World's Tallest Water Sphere

Is Thomas A. Edison connected to the World’s Tallest Water Sphere? Well, as far as I can tell, not directly. However, he did help design some concrete houses that were built by Charles Ingersoll in 1917. These historic houses are well cared-for and sitting nearly at the base of the World’s Tallest Water Sphere on Ingersoll Terrrace in Union. See for yourself. (Zoom in until Ingersoll Terrace is visible next to Route 22 and the Garden State Parkway.)

Thanks to the PBS show History Detectives there is very interesting information on these houses and a very nice (brief) high definition view of the World’s Tallest Water Sphere in it’s nearly white paint circa 2004.
