“I remember playing with my cousin and our friends near the base of the “lollipop” as we sometimes called it. We would imagine it was an alien spaceship ala “War of the Worlds,” or it would be designated home-base (pretty easy to find) in any of our endless games of Manhunt. Sometimes we would light the cattails (punks) and sit around the concrete platform just talking and daydreaming. Simple moments that last a lifetime. “
